In March, Eastern Wyoming College experienced a devastating windstorm that tore the roof off the EWC Gymnasium. Since then, roofing contractors, our facilities team, and maintenance staff have worked tirelessly to repair the damage and protect the gym.

Despite their best efforts, Mother Nature had other plans. During the repair process, additional weather events caused water intrusion through the open roof areas. Unfortunately, the damage to the gym floor and bleachers was more extensive than anticipated.

As a result, Eastern Wyoming College now faces the costly task of replacing both the gym floor and the bleachers.

Through WYOGives, the Eastern Wyoming College Foundation is launching an urgent campaign to help support the purchase of new gym bleachers. Our goal is to raise $15,000 to help restore a safe and welcoming environment for our student-athletes, fans, alumni, and community members.

Fall sports will be here before we know it. We want to ensure our gym is ready to welcome Lancer teams back to the court and provide a place where students, families, alumni, and community members can gather to cheer them on.

Every gift, no matter the size, helps us move closer to restoring the home of the Lancers.
