Help Restore the Home of the Lancers
In March, Eastern Wyoming College experienced a devastating windstorm that tore the roof off the EWC Gymnasium. Since then, roofing contractors, our facilities team, and maintenance staff have worked tirelessly to repair the damage and protect the gym.
Despite their best efforts, Mother Nature had other plans. During the repair process, additional weather events caused water intrusion through the open roof areas, and unfortunately, the damage to the gym was more extensive than originally anticipated.
What began as an urgent need to replace damaged flooring has grown into an opportunity to continue investing in and improving a space that means so much to Eastern Wyoming College.
We launched our fundraising efforts through WyoGives with a one-day goal of $15,000 to help support the purchase of new gym bleachers. Our alumni, friends, donors, and community responded in an incredible way.
Together, we raised $26,757 — far surpassing our WyoGives goal!
We are incredibly grateful for everyone who helped us begin this campaign with such tremendous momentum. But our work is not finished.
As Eastern Wyoming College continues the restoration and updating of the gymnasium, the EWC Foundation is expanding its fundraising efforts with an overall campaign goal of $675,000.
This campaign is about more than repairing damage. It is about investing in a space where generations of Lancers have competed, celebrated, gathered, and made memories — and ensuring it remains a place our students, alumni, families, fans, and community can be proud of for years to come.
