Grant Application Form

Eastern Wyoming College Foundation
Educational Project Grants

The EWC Foundation will provide support for projects or activities that enhance the educational experience of students, faculty, and staff. Projects will be evaluated on an application basis.

Eligibility:
Projects may be submitted from students, administrators, faculty or staff in any of the College’s service areas. Projects will be submitted in the format as enclosed. Priority will be given to students who are currently enrolled at the College at the time of application.

Types of Projects Eligible for Support:
There are no pre-defined restrictions; however, in-class activities, field trips, instructional support projects that enhance the College’s mission will receive priority. The degree of innovation in the proposed project or activity is important and should be clearly defined within the scope of the application.

Proposals presented clearly and convincingly, within the confines of the application, will posit the best chance of being funded. The Foundation and/or grants committee may request a personal interview with any applicant for the purpose of clarification of the application.

Conditions of the Award:
Funds may not be used for purposes substantially different from the intent expressed in the application. Small deviations from the proposed budget such as substitutions of vendors or changes in prices of goods or services are allowable. The applicant is responsible for submitting a final cost statement to the Foundation.

Application Form and Deadlines:
The Foundation will receive applications twice yearly, by November 3rd and by April 5th. Applications will be reviewed by EWC’s Innovative Foundation Grant’s Committee and their recommendation will be forwarded to the Foundation’s Finance Committee who will then forward their recommendation onto the Foundation Board of Directors for decision in December and in May of each year.

Stipulations
Continuing, or extension awards, may be awarded for the lifetime of the project. The Foundation is not obligated to fund any project in a particular time-frame and may award amounts less than the amount requested.

Applications requested biannually: by November 3rd and by April 15th
Awarded: December and May
